Port Royal
Is a response to the demanding growth of cargo activity in the Caribbean. This regional approach fits strategically in the commercial route of transoceanic cargo activity, thus potentially becoming a key role in the regional economy.
Port Royal’s main activities will include handling 3 million TEUs containers annually, storing and warehousing cargo, and offering facilities for handling bulk materials, silos, and liquid storage tanks.

Port overview
PC Terminals’ development, according to its master plan, will occur in phases. The initial phase will include Port Royal, which will feature a 350-meter berth, allowing for the loading, unloading, and storage of goods and merchandise. PC Terminals’ master plan takes into account volume growth and client needs.

Transshipment port
With its deep draft, Port Royal’s objective is to operate as a regional transshipment hub for ports with limited draft or that lack the facilities to receive certain types of vessels. Furthermore, PC Terminals will have the capacity to handle cargo containers, store goods and merchandise, and forward containers and/or merchandise as needed.
Port Royal’s primary will be on container handling and the storage of packaged goods, bulk merchandise and fuel storage.
Adequate cargo space will be provided to handle up to 3 million TEUs annually by 2040. This space should accommodate container transshipment, bulk storage, warehouses, silos, fuel tanks, and other forms of storage. However, the primary focus will be on container handling and storage.
PC Terminals’ vision is to implement the Master Plan and manage the port and its ancillary facilities under a Port Authority model, where various facilities will be operated by private investors within the general infrastructure.
Several shipping lines have expressed interest in investing in, expanding, and operating the container facility as their regional hub.
